The Year 8 Hockey team travelled to Coleraine College to play their first game in NEBESSA league. The girls were slow to react from travelling and went 2-0 down in first quarter. A few changes and the girls started to play much better as a unit. The girls even enjoyed an ice-cream for the journey home!

As we enter Children’s Mental Health week we are using time in class assembly this week to look at the “Take Notice” aspect of Take 5. This highlights how it is good for our Mental Health to slow down our thoughts. Even for a moment. Focusing on the here and now: not dwelling on past experiences or worrying about the future. Pupils are learning and practising breathing and grounding exercises that can help with this. Reflecting the Place2Be theme of “My Voice Matters”, pupils have the opportunity to take part in a survey on their experience of school.
Congratulations to the Year 11 football team who defeated Larne High 4-0 in the East Antrim Cup. Our goals were scored by Harley Crawford who scored a hattrick and Charlie Bell. Congratulations to BSS who now progress to the final. Well done boys!
