U16 Rugby Success

Congratulations to our U16 Rugby Squad in successfully reaching the final of the Ulster High U16’s Trophy by beating Fivemiletown College on Wednesday 18th March 2015. This competition has only been won once by us in 1996 – 19years ago – when we defeated this year’s opponents – Dromore in a closely fought final. As runners-up in the Pollock Cup in October we were a seeded side and received a first round bye. In the second round we beat Saintfield High School 13-0. In the quarters we defeated Ballymoney High 15-7 and in a closely contested semi-final we came back from an 8-0 deficit to win 15-8 against Fivemiletown College. The three tries were scored by Paul McGookin, Adam Gibson and Adam Elliott. We now play Dromore on Tuesday 24th at the Kingspan Stadium – the home of Ulster rugby! Good Luck Boys!
