On Wednesday, the Year 11 and Year 12 GCSE Agriculture classes enjoyed a day visit to Hillsborough for the AFBI Open Day. They heard talks from experts in the areas of Soil Health, Grassland Management, Anaerobic Digestion, Dairy, Pigs and Animal Welfare. The final stop of their tour was at the Education Village, where they were able to speak with representatives from CAFRE, University of Ulster, Queens University and the Livestock & Meat Commission. This was a great opportunity for the pupils to see how the theory they learn in the classroom can be put into practice on the farm!
