Year 12 Summer Programme taking place at Ballyclare Secondary School – Register Now!

We are delighted to be working in partnership with Monkstown Boxing Club to offer a free summer programme for our Year 12 pupils (Academic Year 2025-2026) currently awaiting results. The programme provides a relaxed and supportive opportunity for pupils to meet up with friends, take part in activities, enjoy refreshments and receive useful information ahead of Results Day.

Monday 10 August & Tuesday 11 August

11am – 1pm

Pupils who attend will also have the opportunity to take part in a special trip on Friday 14 August.

Pupils should wear casual, comfortable clothing suitable for all activities.

Places are limited and demand is expected to be high. Registration closes at 12 noon on Friday 31 July 2026.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the death of our former pupil, Jamie Fleming, following a road traffic accident in Doagh earlier today.
Jamie will be remembered fondly by many within our school community, and our thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with his family, friends and all who knew and loved him at this difficult time.

Congratulations to Tyler who arrived home from the Costa Girona Cup, having been named Rangers player of the tournament. Although his team made it through to the quarterfinals they were beaten by Seville. Well done Tyler!

What a fantastic year of musical achievement!

We would like to congratulate all of our pupils who have worked so hard towards their music examinations this year. With over 40 pupils sitting exams across a wide range of instruments, we are incredibly proud of the dedication, commitment and perseverance they have shown throughout the year.

Many pupils have already received excellent results, and we know there are still a few eagerly awaiting theirs. We have every confidence that all of their hard work will be rewarded, and we wish them the very best as they wait for their results.

A huge thank you also goes to our instrumental tutors, staff and families for their continued encouragement and support. Well done to every pupil on this wonderful achievement—you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves!

Our Year Forum pupils were busy earlier this month potting plants which they distributed to their form tutors this week as a thank you for all their support this year. Thank You!

Congratulations to our Year 8 pupils, Matthew and Callum, who were presented with their Foundation Certificates in Piping at the Awards Celebration held at Stormont.

This fantastic achievement reflects their hard work, commitment and dedication as they developed their piping skills throughout the year. We are incredibly proud of both boys and hope this is just the beginning of their musical journey.

Today we said goodbye to our wonderful flute tutor Miss Hanna as she begins an exciting new chapter studying for her Master’s in Performance.

Thank you for everything you’ve given to our pupils and our Music department. Your talent, expertise and commitment have made a lasting contribution, and we wish you every success as you take this exciting next step.

We’ll miss you greatly, but we’re so proud of you and can’t wait to see all that you achieve. Wishing you every success and happiness in this exciting new adventure—you deserve it all.

On Monday this week was the turn of our Year 10 and Year 11 pupils to receive their end of year awards celebrating the outstanding achievements and contributions of our pupils across a range of areas that reflect the school’s ethos. Our assembly recognised pupils for their endeavour, academic achievement, contribution to the community, kindness, and involvement in school life. Pupils were commended for their perseverance and dedication to learning, as well as their academic successes. Others were recognised for their kindness and respect towards their peers, helping to foster a strong sense of community within the school. The achievement points also recognised those who have gone above and beyond in contributing to wider school life through extracurricular activities, leadership, and service to others both within and beyond the school.
