The Junior Choir at Ballyclare Secondary School is a vibrant and enthusiastic group made up of Year 8 and 9 pupils who meet regularly in the Music Department (Room 155) one lunchtime a week. Junior Choir is open to anyone who wants to be join in the fun, the choir offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved in school events, music festivals, and concerts throughout the year.

This past year has been an exciting and rewarding one for our Junior Choir members. In December, the choir took part in our Christmas Concert, performing as a standalone group before joining with the Senior Choir for some powerful and moving festive singing. This was a particularly moving moment in the concert, as the choir’s three-part singing beautifully captured and communicated the meaning of Christmas.
In March, the choir proudly represented the school at the Ballyclare Music Festival, where they achieved first place for the first time with their performances of A Million Dreams and Banaha. This was a fantastic achievement and a real reflection of their hard work, teamwork and musical growth. Then in April, they took part in the Spring Concert, where they once again performed with confidence, enthusiasm and a real love of singing.
Junior Choir members consistently bring joy, energy, and enthusiasm to every rehearsal and performance. Their commitment and love for music shine through in everything they do - and we always have lots of fun along the way!
