Ballyclare Secondary School is a non-selective controlled secondary school of approximately 1080 pupils. We are an all ability, co-educational school for 11 to 18 year olds. It is the school’s ethos to strive to provide an inclusive learning and teaching environment in which all can reach their full potential. We aim to do this by fostering the core values of respect, kindness, compassion, and joy.

All staff work hard to provide an education which is rewarding and inspiring for all pupils.

There is a strong emphasis on pastoral care within Ballyclare Secondary School and our aim is “personal excellence” we believe that this is something every child can achieve. We place a high value on academic achievement and have high aspirations for all our pupils. We provide a wide range of curricular and extracurricular activities so that our pupils have the opportunity to fulfil their potential in many different areas.
