A number of BSS pupil musicians had the amazing opportunity to take part in an all day workshop run by the Royal Marine Band on Friday hosted by Ballyclare High School. It was a great experience not only to rehearse with the band but to hear about their day-to-day life as members of the Royal Marines and to take part in a concert with them in the afternoon.
The same Royal Marine Band were then playing at Armed Forces Day on Saturday at Loughshore Park in full dress uniform.
On Thursday morning Gerard from Bring IT ON came in to speak to 60 of our top year 8 ICT achievers about the importance of Digital IT skills. The pupils were exemplary and had great fun partaking in the activities!
