Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing

Let’s update you on what has been going on in our Take 5 focus!

After learning about the overall research and principles behind the Take 5 approach in year group assemblies, we have been taking a theme each week to explore in Form Class time.

We are well into the swing of these 5 weeks of class assembly.

Last week we thought about “Connect”. We learnt new things about each other with games of People Bingo: Who has had stitches? And does anyone really prefer Custard Creams to Jammie Dodgers?

This week our theme is “Keep Learning”. We are thinking about how to keep learning by testing our literacy, numeracy and general knowledge skills. When we try new things we can feel a sense of achievement and build our confidence.

Poppy Appeal

We are delighted to say that as a school we raised a total of £259.24 for the Poppy Appeal in November. Below is a letter of thanks from the Chairman of the Ballyclare branch of the Royal British Legion.

Year 8 Hockey Success

The Year 8 hockey girls played another match of the East Antrim League against Parkhall Integrated winning 3-0. A slow start to the game for both sides, however Lexie F went on to score two goals and Ruby L finished with a fantastic third goal. Player of match was Ellen G! Well done girls!
