Odd Sock Day

Last week we looked at key Anti-Bullying messages. We brightened our Friday 17th November with many pupils, across in all year groups, putting on their odd socks. Staff across the school joined in too to support the message that our individuality and diversity is something to be celebrated! Ms Oliver’s dog, Lexi, even joined in rocking odd socks at home!

Year 8 Hockey Success!

The Year 8 Hockey team played another round of the East Antrim League beating Glengormley Integrated 6-0! Lexie Fellowes scored four goals and Carys Hollyoak scored two! Some super hockey was played, especially from our forward Ruby Lewis who assisted every goal! Well done to Mrs Hall’s superstars!

Rugby Success

Under 16

Congratulations to the Under 16 Rugby team who defeated Cullybackey College 40-0 in the U16 High Schools Pollock Cup at Ballymena RFC. Matthew Clyde scored two tries and Ben Hamilton, Piers Turkington, Issac Ferris and Tom Brierley all scored one try each. Samuel Logan added five conversions. Well done boys!

Under 14 Rugby Success
Match vs Cullybackey College, Won 44-19.

Tries scored by:
Lee McGookin
William McGookin
Mark Magee
Danny Smith
Lee Dickey
Alfie Cartwright x3
Conversions x2 Dylan Sempey

The U14 team won against a spirited Cullybackey College side! The game included some fine individual performances including Riley Hoy leading from the front making tackle after tackle (top defender) and also a second half hat trick from Alfie Cartwright (top attacker) who could even have had a fourth if not for a fantastic covering tackle. Our overall player of the match Lee McGookin played very well in both attack and defence including scoring a try from his own twenty two metre line!
