On Saturday 4th November our Year 11 and 12 GCSE PE students competed in the McConnell Shield which is organised by East Antrim Harriers. Our pupils ran in the Under 16 race which took place in the Sixmilewater Park. Congratulations to Emma Taylor, Mia Smith and Eva Grant who finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Under 16 Girls event and to Reece Duff who finished 3rd in the Under 16 Boys event. Well done everyone!
The Year 8 Hockey Team played their first match in the East Antrim League today against Ulidia IC. The young team played really well and had the majority of the possession in the game but unfortunately couldn’t get the ball into the goal! Ulidia capitalised on a free hit out by Ballyclare and ran the ball into the nets to score 1-0. Very unlucky for the Ballyclare girls who never gave up and kept working hard to the final whistle! Well done to all the girls.
