The Education Aurthority (EA) has been notified by Translink that their bus drivers who are members of the Unite and GMB trade unions have voted to take industrial action in relation to a pay offer from Translink. Translink provide the bus services for our school.

Translink are continuing to engage with Trade Unions to avert the action, however, if it does proceed it would result in all Translink bus services being withdrawn from Monday 25^th April to Sunday 1^st May 2022 and Friday 6^th May 2022 (one day).

We’re absolutely delighted to inform our wider school community that today Mrs M McIlveen MLA, Minister of Education has announced that Ballyclare Secondary School is one of only twenty-eight schools to Advance in Planning under the Major Capital Works Programme. These schools will benefit from a capital investment in the region of £794m, with Ballyclare Secondary’s allocation thought to be approximately £30 million.

Our Year 11 Parent/Carer consultation will take place on Thursday 7^th April 2022. We have introduced a new virtual appointment and online booking system through School Cloud. This will allow you to book your own appointments with the specific teachers you wish to speak to. Appointments can be made from 12 Noon on Wednesday 23^rd March 2022 until Wednesday 6^th April 2022 at 4pm.
