The Junior Choir at Ballyclare Secondary School is a vibrant and enthusiastic group made up of Year 8 and 9 pupils who meet regularly in the Music Department (Room 155) one lunchtime a week. Open to anyone who wants to be join in the fun, the choir offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved in school events, music festivals, and concerts throughout the year.
This past year has been an exciting and rewarding one for our Junior Choir members. In December, the choir took part in the school’s production of The Wizard of Oz, either performing on stage or contributing as part of the off-stage chorus. Their dedication and talent added magic to the performance and helped bring the story and the singing to life.
In March, the choir proudly represented the school at the Ballyclare Music Festival, showcasing their hard work and musical growth. Then in April, they took part in the Spring Concert, where they performed both as a standalone group and as part of the Ballyclare Secondary School Community Choir. These performances highlighted not only their musical abilities but also their teamwork, love of music and community spirit.
Junior Choir members consistently bring joy, energy, and enthusiasm to every rehearsal and performance. Their commitment and love for music shine through in everything they do — and we always have lots of fun along the way!
