Sports and Activity Day

What a day it was! On Friday 5th June, our Sports & Activity Day was a huge success. The school was buzzing with energy as pupils took part in a wide range of activities, showing fantastic teamwork, determination and school spirit. Laughter and excitement filled the air, with fun, friendship and a healthy dose of competition at the heart of it all. The highlight for many was the Colour Run in support of the charity Hope365 —and of course, the unforgettable moment when staff were “gunged” to the delight of cheering pupils. A brilliant day for a truly worthwhile cause!

Thanks to the PE Department and Mr Latham for all their organisation of the day.

Chinese Games with Wenjian

At lunchtime this week Wenjian, our Mandarin teacher, kindly introduced a group of our pupils to a variety of popular Chinese games. The session was an opportunity for students to experience a different culture in a fun and engaging way, while also developing their teamwork and communication.

P7 Induction Days

Last week, we were delighted to welcome current P7 pupils as they prepared to join BSS as Year 8 students in September 2026. To help them get off to a great start, we planned an exciting induction day packed with activities, fun, and opportunities to make new friends. Pupils explored their new surroundings, met staff and classmates, and enjoyed a relaxed BBQ together—making it a memorable and enjoyable introduction to life at BSS.

French Boules with Year 10

Some of our year 10 pupils enjoyed trying French boules at school, learning how to aim and play as a team. With plenty of laughter and encouragement, they built confidence while experiencing a fun taste of French culture.

Katie's Swimming Success

Katie (Year 8) has shown remarkable dedication to her sport, committing an impressive 10 hours each week to swimming training. Her hard work and determination have earned her selection to represent her swimming club in Stuttgart, Germany. During this exciting opportunity, Katie will spend five days training before competing in the International Stuttgart Competition in June 2026, where she will race against other clubs. This achievement is a testament to her talent, perseverance, and passion for swimming. Well Done Katie!

Logan Performing in West End Calling and the Royal Albert Hall

Logan had an incredible weekend in London, performing at West End Calling and at the Royal Albert Hall alongside Alfie Boe. Although he didn’t take home a prize this year, reaching the final 22 out of 2,000 auditioning children is an outstanding achievement. Well Done Logan!
