More Hockey Success for Year 10

The Year 10 girls played another round of the East Antrim league, beating Parkhall 2-0! The goals were scored by Lily-Mae and Faith. Melissa our goal keeper also had a great game! Well done girls!

Dressage Success for Ellie-Mae

Congratulations to Ellie-Mae Kerr (9K) on winning the Grassroots Dressage competition on her pony Jokin Joe, and securing qualification for the Spring Barrier competition in March. Ellie-Mae also qualified in Arena Eventing. Well done Ellie-Mae!

Pink Week for Cancer Focus

Last week, the Physical Education Department hosted their annual pink week. On Friday, other staff members supported the PE staff by wearing pink too!

Year 8 Road Safety Week

As part of our Year 8 Road Safety Week we were delighted to host the Translink Safety Bus on Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th December. Each class in Year 8 visited the bus for a talk on how to stay safe while using public transport. Ryley Humphrys in 8X even got a chance to sit in the driver’s seat!

Football Success

Congratulations to the Year 11 football team who defeated Coláiste Feirste 5-1 in the Belfast Cup. The goals were scored by Freddie Higgins x2, Harley Crawford, Elliot McAuley and Jayden Charnley. Congratulations to BSS who now progress to the last 16. Well done boys!

Year 11 - Learn to Earn Programme

Young Enterprise were in school today delivering their Learn to Earn programme to all of Year 11. This programme allowed the pupils to look at their ideal lifestyle and compare this to the type of job they might do. Pupils got to use a budget planner, to help them work out the feasibility of their dream life. The programme provided the pupils with a valuable insight into their career prospects, potential earnings, and how they can help create a desirable lifestyle for themselves in the future.
