Head Boy and Head Girl

Head Boy 2024-25

Jamie Houston

What are your roles and responsibilities?
As Head Boy, my responsibilities are very important to me. I take great pride in working with the prefect
team to carry out our roles and responsibilities. These include lunch and break duty, helping with important events in school such as School Productions and Open Days. I also address present pupils at assemblies and Presentation Day and future pupils at Open Days. Being in a position of responsibility has helped me develop my communication skills.

What do you enjoy about being Head Boy?
I enjoy being able to help, guide and mentor younger
pupils and share my passion for the subjects I study. I
have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside Anna and the amazing prefect team. The role has allowed me to
develop my own skills in organization, communication, empathy and integrity.

Head Girl 2024-25

Anna Robinson

What are your roles and responsibilities?
As Head Girl, I am responsible for the team of prefects and their duties. It is my responsibility to be an
ambassador for the school and to set an example for
younger pupils to follow. Throughout the year I deliver speeches at Prize Day and Open Day and participate in special assemblies. Along with our Head Boy I have regular meetings with Mrs Shingleton where we discuss upcoming events and how to resolve any problems that have arisen.

What do you enjoy about being Head Girl?
Throughout the year, I have enjoyed being able to develop my communication and leadership skills. Working as a team with the prefects and Senior Leadership Team opens ways I can listen to others and ensure everyone feels valued. Participating in events such as the Leadership Lunch at Slemish College has allowed me to meet new people and recognise that I can use my voice for important issues.
