Reminder for Parents/Carers of pupils in Year 12: Bookings for consultations will close at midnight on Wednesday 8th November.

On Saturday 4th November our Year 11 and 12 GCSE PE students competed in the McConnell Shield which is organised by East Antrim Harriers. Our pupils ran in the Under 16 race which took place in the Sixmilewater Park. Congratulations to Emma Taylor, Mia Smith and Eva Grant who finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Under 16 Girls event and to Reece Duff who finished 3rd in the Under 16 Boys event. Well done everyone!
The Year 8 Hockey Team played their first match in the East Antrim League today against Ulidia IC. The young team played really well and had the majority of the possession in the game but unfortunately couldn’t get the ball into the goal! Ulidia capitalised on a free hit out by Ballyclare and ran the ball into the nets to score 1-0. Very unlucky for the Ballyclare girls who never gave up and kept working hard to the final whistle! Well done to all the girls.

The Year 9 Girls’ Netball team travelled to Antrim Forum on Monday 23rd October to play in the NEBESSA Minor Blitz. They faced some tough competition in Ballyclare High, Ballymena Academy and Sperrin Integrated College. The girls were narrowly defeated by Ballyclare High and Ballymena Academy and drew 4-4 with Sperrin Integrated. A superb performance for our young Year 9 pupils. Special mention goes to Rachael Lovett and Grace McClements for scoring the goals. Well done to all the girls involved.
Congratulations to the Under 16 Rugby team who defeated Ashfield Boys 31-0 in the U16 High Schools Pollock Cup this week at Ballyclare RFC. Piers Turkington and Joshua Luney both scored two tries each with Max Pollock scoring the fifth try. Harvey Campbell added one conversion and Samuel Logan added two conversions. Well done boys!
Congratulations to the Year 12 football team who defeated Ulidia IC 2-1 in the 2nd Round of the U16 Northern Ireland Cup yesterday. This was a hard fought victory for the boys with Reece Duff on the scoresheet again. The team now progress to the last 16. Well done boys!
