The Year 9 Girls’ Netball team travelled to Antrim Forum on Monday 23rd October to play in the NEBESSA Minor Blitz. They faced some tough competition in Ballyclare High, Ballymena Academy and Sperrin Integrated College. The girls were narrowly defeated by Ballyclare High and Ballymena Academy and drew 4-4 with Sperrin Integrated. A superb performance for our young Year 9 pupils. Special mention goes to Rachael Lovett and Grace McClements for scoring the goals. Well done to all the girls involved.

Congratulations to the Under 16 Rugby team who defeated Ashfield Boys 31-0 in the U16 High Schools Pollock Cup this week at Ballyclare RFC. Piers Turkington and Joshua Luney both scored two tries each with Max Pollock scoring the fifth try. Harvey Campbell added one conversion and Samuel Logan added two conversions. Well done boys!

Congratulations to the Year 12 football team who defeated Ulidia IC 2-1 in the 2nd Round of the U16 Northern Ireland Cup yesterday. This was a hard fought victory for the boys with Reece Duff on the scoresheet again. The team now progress to the last 16. Well done boys!

On Wednesday 25th October we celebrate the amazing achievements of our pupils at our annual Celebration Afternoon. Classes will finish early at 11:45am to allow the ceremony to commence at 1pm. Please note that there will be no buses on this day so pupils have been asked to arrange their own transport home. Pupils will have an extended break time on Wednesday morning where the canteen will be open for hot food, including hot dogs, pizza, sausage rolls, burgers and jambons.

The Year 9 Football team defeated Parkhall IC 7-0 in their first game in the East Antrim League. Michael Armour scored a hat-trick, Alexander McGladdery added two goals and Reuben Greer and Harrison Melville also both scored.
The Year 10 team started their East Antrim League campaign with an entertaining 3-3 draw against Parkhall IC. Luke Hill, Jamie Harpur and Cai Collins all scored for Ballyclare Secondary.
Well done to both teams and good luck on Monday against Abbey CC in their next league match!
Under 14 Rugby Success
The Under 14 Rugby Team defeated Dunclug College this week 35-5. Mark Magee scored a hat trick of tries with William McGookin and Zach Turbett also scoring a try each. Dylan Sempey converted all the tries. A game played in difficult conditions, Ballyclare showed signs of promising rugby in the second half with Mark Magee and William McGookin prominent in both attack and defence. Well done boys and good luck against Ashfield next week!
