Yesterday we marked another milestone in the school lives of our year 12 as they embark on study leave in preparation for their imminent GCSE exams. We wish them concentration in revision, diligent preparation and success in their exams. We look forward to many joining us in September to continue their educational journey in Sixth Form at BSS.
The GCSE and A Level Psychology students have enjoyed bringing the concept of ‘Operant Conditioning’ to life this year, and finally got to trade in their tokens for some well-deserved dominoes.
Mrs Clark and Mrs Colgan are so proud of you all! Wishing you all the best for the upcoming exams and the exciting new chapters to come.
Matthew Gordon (Year 11) travelled to Kent, England, for the Ayrshire Young Breeders Competition in April 2025. Matthew took part in multiple areas of the competition and came home with no less than 6 awards! This demonstrates not only his commitment and interest to the Agricultural Industry but his skills in managing and showing cattle. He was awarded prizes for Showmanship, Clipping & Preparation and Winning Overall Junior Competitor against Young Breeders from across the UK. What promise for the future!
Ballyclare Secondary School students spent the first few days of their Easter break travelling to London to explore the booming arts industry of the Westend Theatre and the Warner Brothers Harry Potter studios experience. The drama department brought the students to see the award winning musical "Back to the Future" and the ten year running comedy play by Mischief Theatre Company, "The Play that Goes Wrong". A busy, fantastic few days were spent in beautiful Spring weather exploring London's sights. Planes, trains and automobiles soon made confident travellers and explorers of our young citizens as they safely return to enjoy the rest of their Easter holiday.
