Thank you for taking part in Anti Bullying Week 2025. Let’s keep spreading the word and using Power for Good in the weeks, months and years ahead.

Max has enjoyed remarkable success in martial arts over the past year. He has claimed three WKO World Championship titles in Kickboxing, Boxing, and Ultimate Fighter. He has competed extensively in both Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), earning numerous victories along the way.
Just last weekend, Max won the Northern Ireland Jackhammer Kickboxing Ring Title, adding another award to his growing list of achievements. The following day, he competed in the IBJJF European Championships, where he secured Gold, making him the European IBJJF Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Champion.
Looking ahead, Max hopes to travel to Florida next July to compete in the IBJJF World Championships. Outside of school, he dedicates his time to training and coaching at his BJJ club, Defiant Martial Arts.

The Year 8 hockey team kicked off their NEBSSA league campaign with a fantastic performance against local rivals, Glengormley Integrated College. The girls secured an impressive 5–0 victory!
A special mention goes to Sofia A, who worked tirelessly in midfield and was rewarded with two well-deserved goals. Jessica S, Layla T, and Pixie M also found the back of the net to complete a dominant team display.
Well done to all girls who played, a great team in the making!

On Tuesday, our whole school came together for a Remembrance Assembly. The service was led by Mrs Shingleton alongside our Head Boy, Louis, and Head Girl, Sara. A special moment was shared by Year 8 pupil Erin Horner, who proudly displayed her dad’s service medals, honouring his 24 years with the Royal Engineers.
On Sunday 9th November 2025, Mrs Shingleton joined Louis and Sara at the town’s annual Remembrance Day service. Together, they laid a wreath to honour the sacrifices of generations past and those who continue to serve today.
We will remember them.
